The Epilepsy Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through services, education, advocacy and research.

As the local affiliate, we are the ‘public voice’ of epilepsy in eastern Pennsylvania.  Donations to EFEPA are used for programs and services in our eighteen-county service area; dollars earmarked for research are administered by our national office, Landover, MD. 

As part of being the ‘public voice of epilepsy’, our endeavors include prevention of epilepsy/seizure disorder by promoting the use of helmets and seat belts.  25% of seizure disorder is caused by head trauma.
