About the Young Adult Retreat

Young Adult Retreat 2025: May 15-18, 2025

Registration Opens February 2025!

Are you a young adult diagnosed with epilepsy between the ages of 18-30? We invite you to connect with others facing similar challenges and spend the weekend with us while we network, bond, learn from, and laugh with each other.

The Young Adult Retreat focuses on addressing the needs of young adults with epilepsy by developing a supportive network where you can share your own unique experiences and challenges. It’s an opportunity to meet others living with epilepsy, learn essential life and wellness skills, and recognize and build upon personal strengths. All of the weekend’s activities are designed to build a supportive community, dedicate time for socialization, introduce relaxation and stress-management techniques, explore future planning, and time set aside to talk directly with medical professionals. This exciting weekend will leave you feeling refreshed and energized!

Due to staffing, we kindly request that all participants be able to administer their own medications and independently perform basic daily living skills, such as dressing and bathing. We will have medical staff on-site for the duration of the retreat to address emergencies.

Volunteer Opportunities

Medical volunteers make our weekend retreats possible by providing around-the-clock medical support in the event of emergencies. In support of our Young Adult Retreat, we ask for 2 or 3 medical volunteers to attend. For more information on getting involved with the EFEPA as a volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.
